American Voices' Jesse Dayton and band travelled to Aktau, Kazakhstan to perform three concerts on February 10,11 and 12th.  The concerts were originally schedule for December 16, 17 and 18th but had to be cancelled due to weather problems. These concerts are entirely supported by Karazhanbasmunai(KBM) and the Marriott Hotel of Aktau.

These concerts were the first ever in Kazakhstan by a U.S. Country artist and were received an ecstatic reception to two sold-out public concerts. The programs highlighted the history of Country music over the past 100 years from its origins in Cowboy culture of the American West to current popular trends. In addition, Jesse and the band performed and improvised together with local traditional musicians. For photos and more information please go to our project page 'Jesse Dayton Country Western Concerts'.

A native of Beaumont, Jesse Dayton currently resides in Austin, Texas. This is his first tour for American Voices will several more anticipated in 2006 in the Middle East and Asia.
